Tyco Fire Protection Products has developed a new AquaMist Industrial Fire Protection (IFP) solution designed to protect small-scale or single industrial fryer applications. FM approved, the stand-alone solution provides fully integrated fire suppression and is an extension of Tyco’s existing AquaMist Water Mist product portfolio, suitable for multiple cooker arrangements.
Providing rapid suppression and a high cooling effect, the AquaMist IFP offers superior reliability, as well as ease of installation and enhanced flexibility. The system’s low water consumption helps to minimise repair and clean-up costs and reduces operational downtime. This new solution does not require any electrical supply or a separate water tank, making it ideal for small-scale or single installation. Additionally, Tyco continues to offer its existing AquaMist multi-fryer solution, designed for protection of large-scale applications.
AquaMist IFP for stand-alone applications has been developed to respond to the demanding requirements of food manufacturers. It is a pre-assembled solution that includes a Tyco Red-E Mist Supply Skid and customised valve assembly and Water Mist nozzles, including AM31, AM4 and AM10. AquaMist IFP has been designed to offer compatibility with detection and suppression systems to protect the hood area, fines box and exhaust stacks of industrial cookers.

AquaMist IFP is compatible with Tyco detection and sprinkler systems and is able to rapidly reduce the heat of cooking oil and provide full extinguishment in various fryer configurations, such as hood up and hood down.
